Australian Student Visa

To get an Australian Student Visa you must be able to fulfil Genuine Temporary Entrant (GTE) requirement, Financial requirements, English proficiency requirements, and Health and character requirements. The Genuine Temporary Entrant (GTE) requirement serves as an integrity assessment where the visa applicants demonstrate an intention to stay in Australia temporarily to gain education.

The application for the Student Visa (Subclass 500) is available online. Australian visa application fee currently is AU$620 (~US$420).

Applying To Australian Universities

You can start applying to Australian universities around August- September. Before that you can take your general exam and english language proficiency test. Reapplication to Australian universities starts in August- September. A minimum test score of 5.5 in IELTS, 46 in TOEFL iBT, 162 in CAE: advanced, 42 in PTE and Pass (A or B) in OET (Occupational English test) is required.

Documents required to apply in Australia for higher studies include:

  1. Previous education official transcripts
  2. Test scores GRE, GMAT, IELTS, TOEFL or as per program requirement
  3. Letter of Recommendation (LOR)
  4. Statement of Purpose (SoP)
  5. Certificate of scholarship or award (if sponsored from home country)
  6. Research publication or research proposal
  7. Summary of employment (if applicable)
  8. Proof of finances
